Yet, he has also played on artificial turf, like at Bank of America Stadium against Charlotte FC on Oct. 22.
Miami would need to consider the logistics of flying Messi across the continent for a single game in Vancouver, especially considering the workload and the smaller market size of Vancouver in the 29-team league. Single match tickets for the game will be available for purchase in the new year, with priority pre-sale access for season members. The Whitecaps’ season opener is scheduled for March 2 against Charlotte FC.
